Section 1 General Principal Preparation Program Requirements PARTNERSHIP MOU 2008 ISSLC STANDARDS CURRICULUM STUDENT LEARNING SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT

Section 1 General Principal Preparation Program Requirements 2008 ISLLC Standards Each principal preparation program shall meet the Educational Leadership Policy Standards: ISLLC 2008, adopted by the National Policy Board for Educational Administration.

Designing Curricula that Addresses Student Learning and School Improvement Develop a program map that includes:  description of the courses & course numbers;  alignment of courses to the ISLLC standards;  description of the field experiences embedded in identified courses;  time allotted for the field experience;  description of how progress and successful completion will be measured for coursework and field experiences; and

Designing Curricula that Addresses Student Learning and School Improvement  indicate which courses focus on:  Pre-K through grade 12 levels;  all students including special needs (e.g., IEP’s, English language learners, gifted students) and students in early learning programs;  role of instruction (literacy and numeracy), curriculum, assessment and the needs of the school/district in improving student learning;  Illinois Professional Teaching Standards; and  collaborative relationships with members of the school community
