Group Processes  Team Measurement and Performance Feedback is Often Difficult in a Team Environment.  Excel is a good tool to use to capture, calculate and summarize this data.  There are several methods used but the Voting techniques such as the Nominal Group Techniques (NGT [1] ) are very commonly used for choice selection or competing alternatives. –Everyone has an equal vote or input –Grassroots and stakeholder driven –In the basic method, the numbers (votes, etc.) each alternative receives are totaled, and the alternative or choice with the highest (i.e. most favored) total ranking is selected as the final decision. –The basic scoring technique to can be modified to incorporate other measurement techniques such as Rubric and Weighting scores to reflect key requirements. –In practice, Management typically retains the final decision but user input significantly influences the choice.  Bottom-line – Very Flexible and Useful Technique. Widely Use! [1]. This technique was originally developed by Delbecq and VandeVen, Delbecq A. L. and VandeVen A. H, (1971).
