A quick tour of the programme School Food Champions

The programme is divided into stages 1. Launching the programme in your school 2. Getting Started Personal action planning for you Action planning for your school 3. Transforming School Food 4. Celebrating your achievements Throughout the programme support is offered through a kit of resources and activities (on-line), webinars, and phone/ support.

1. Launch 1.Launch ideas and resources to use in your school 1.Short presentations - Quick Wins and Launch ideas 2.A new badge for your school headed paper 3.A school certificate for reception area 4.Apron for photo-shoots 5.Poster

2. Starter Kit a)Self Assessment and Personal Action Planning Your audit may lead you to further support on school food essentials, nutrition, School Food Plan and School Food Standards if you find you need it b) School Audit Tool and Action Planning A vital first step - Auditing all aspects of food culture in your school and where you want to be, giving you a plan to work to.

3. Transformation Kit Use your action plan to choose the resources you need: On curriculum - whole school approaches to healthy eating, reviewing your KS3 scheme of work, a designing and making school lunch project School food provision (including working with the caterer to make a change and implement pupil voice, the dining environment, marketing)

Helping you along the way 1.We will be checking your progress every week as you upload your school lunch data on-line 2.We will offer support to ensure that you meet the 5% increase in school lunch target 3.Ideas for an activity to focus you each month will arrive 4.Webinars will be held each half term 5.You can contact the team at any time

4. Celebration We will be celebrating success along the way and sharing good practice We hope that you will help us write case studies and tips for others
