What will you do with the 7 Habits? April/May, 2013 Freshmen Advisory

The Choice is Yours  We have given you many tools and ideas.  But only you can make positive changes and make smart decisions.

Review  Habit 1 – Be Proactive  To think before one acts and take responsibility for the choice made.  Habit 2 – Begin with the End in Mind  Have a plan and know your mission and goal in life.  Habit 3 – Put First Things First  Prioritize the important things in your life and do them before the unimportant.  Habit 4 – Think Win-Win  Have an everyone can win attitude.

Review  Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood  Develop good communication skills  Habit 6 – Synergize  Realize the benefits of working with others using creative cooperation.  Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw  Take care of yourself – it’s the only one you’ve got!

Activity  Charades  Divide the advisory up into 7 groups. These groups will be randomly assigned a Habit – don’t let anyone else hear your habit.  Give the groups time to create their ‘skit.’  Have each group come up one at a time and act out their habit.  The rest of the advisory should be guessing which habit and use the correct name.

Oh, The Place You’ll Go   You will need your by-pass code or please find your own copy of the Dr. Seuss book.
