~At the sand station add 6 heaping spoonfuls of sand ~Get goggles and a spoon for your group ~Put on goggles and raise your hand for sodium silicate. ~Once sodium silicate is added: GENTLY tap the container on your table several times and observe what happens. ~ Use the SPOON to carefully mix the sand and solution (DO NOT TOUCH IT) ~ Carefully wash the spoon and return it to the beaker ~ Put your container in the storage area ~Wipe off your work areas, wash your hands, and put away any remaining supplies.
