Principles of the scheme Non-competitive Flexible Progressive Personal Development A marathon not a sprint Enjoyable Encourages you and others Self-motivated

How will it work? There are 4 sections to complete. People Skills Service Wider World You can achieve either Bronze, Silver or Gold. However, to achieve an award you must complete one task from all 4 sections.

People The main focus of this section is to work with different groups of people, including younger children, your peer group, adults and people within the community.

Skills This is to help you to develop a range of interpersonal skills, e.g. co-operation, teamwork, self confidence, independence, communication, empathy. Also to embrace new experiences.

Service To develop business awareness and enterprise skills. To increase awareness of the needs of others through work linked to a charity.

Wider World You have to demonstrate involvement in Community and Global Issues.

Paperwork Yawn, Yawn! Yes I know this is the boring bit for some of you. Every time you complete a task you must fill in ‘A Record of Achievement’. But don’t worry it is not all about the written record, all we want to see is evidence of you completing your task, photographs are always useful. We will always help you with this bit!!

Are You ? Enthusiastic Energetic Reliable Always ready to join in Helpful Willing to put in extra time and effort A person with lots of staying power

Then this is for you! Hambleton School Young Leaders Show everyone what you can achieve and be proud of yourself!
