Animations, transitions and timing Animations – Use sparingly to add motion, sound, and contrast to text and objects. Transitions - Special effects for use when progressing from slide to slide. Timing Features - The amount of time given to text, objects, and slides when using animations and transitions. *Overused special effects are a distracting and minimize the message.

Adding Animation To add animation: 1. Select the text or object that you want to animate. 2. On the Animations tab, in the Animations group, select the animation effect that you want from the Animate list.
