What is Cyber-bullying? Being tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet or other technologies Sometimes people mistake cyber bullying for when adults try and attract younger children to a off line meeting. That is not cyber-bullying

What leads to Cyber-bullying? Entertainment Revenge Anger Frustration Social Standing

Cyber-bullying and you It is important to know what cyber-bullying is because you could be harming somebody and not even know it. Cyber-bullying can lead children and teens to suicide and sometimes even murder. Cyber-bullying could lead you to have to deal with the law. IT can lead to a year in JAIL. CYBER-BULLYING MUST BE STOPPED

Direct attacks!/Bullying by proxy Instant messaging, Stealing passwords, Impersonation, and Sending porn through are all examples of Direct attacks Cyber-bullying by proxy is using someone else to do the bullying. Most of the time they don’t even know that they are being used as a bully It is the most dangerous type because it can get adults involved without them even knowing that they are dealing with a child.

What is being done? (School) Schools are educating students about what it is and what will happen if students become cyber-bullies When schools try to get involved with off campus cyber-bullying they are often sued for taking away a students rights.

What is being done? (Parents) The one safe place for a child to go for help if something does go wrong online is to their parents. Yet children fear going to there parents Parents need to- 1.)Be supportive of the victim. They are often more affected than they let off. 2.) Let guidance councilors know at the school to keep an eye out for cyber-bullying happening with in the school

Impact on schools and education. Technologies add to the possibilities of cyber bullying in the classroom. Communication tools like IM, Facebook, and Myspace make it easier for students to cyber-bully students from home because there is no block on the cites. So arguments that happen is school no longer stay in school.

Impact on students and teachers. Students can lose attention and be distracted by harmful threats both leading away from school work. Teachers should know what cyber-bullying is. They have to be prepared to deal with it and understand when it is happening.

Conclusion Cyber-Bullying is a very prevalent topic. You may not even know that you are cyber-bullying Cyber-bullying can lead to very serious outcomes. Realize that it is a crime and that you can be put in jail for as much as a year.
