What is the IMA? Formed in 1901, the Indiana Manufacturers Association performs essential services for manufacturers - both large and small.

What does the IMA Do? Our goal has always been to preserve a favorable business climate for manufacturing throughout the state. The IMA is the only association in Indiana that exclusively represents the manufacturing community. IMA is your united voice to government. The IMA’s lobbying staff represents manufacturing concerns before legislative bodies and regulatory agencies at both the state and federal levels.

Why does IMA do it? Indiana continues to be one of America's leading industrial states. To enhance the ability of Indiana manufacturers to compete effectively and profitably in a local, national and global economy.

How does IMA do it? To be the primary representative of manufacturing interests before legislative and regulatory bodies at both the state and federal levels. Provide member companies with operational consulting services directly from Indiana Manufacturers Association staff and member company professionals. Promote and advocate Indiana manufacturers to citizens, media, and government. Promote financial services that are determined to be of value to the membership. Inform member companies through research and education about issues affecting the manufacturing environment.

This enables manufacturers to remain competitive and profitable in an ever-changing business climate. IMA Daily Update More than 2,600 manufacturers, CEOs and plant managers five days a week and provides important member news and industry alerts. One of the most highly read business e- newslettersprovides the latest business, state, national, economic and global news, and reaches some of Indiana’s decision makers.

Exec Memo The IMA’s Executive Memo is an online newsletter published monthly and sent to those interested in the latest news regarding issues of concern to top management professionals. IMA members are encouraged to submit informational articles.

What is IMASERV, Inc.? The wholly-owned subsidiary of the Indiana Manufacturers Association and has available an extensive array of insurance and financial services exclusively for IMA members. Also available exclusively for IMA members is the IMA Manufacturers Advantage Program which is offered by Amerisure for property casualty and worker’s compensation coverages. When loss ratios warrant such dividends this program may provide Worker's Compensation Safety Group Dividends, Commercial Automobile Dividends and Commercial Package Dividends. This program has consistently provided dividends since its’ inception. These dividends now total more than $3.9 million dollars.
