SUCCESSFUL EXAMPLES The European Schoolnet Academy is a platform for online professional development of teachers in Europe. We have successfully completed a piloting phase with two experimental courses: Innovative Practices for Engaging STEM Teaching Future Classroom Scenarios MOOCs for teachers: #EUNAcademy
Timing: 2 rounds each course: March and July 2014 // Over several weeks, 1 module per week Interaction: Asynchronous, follow the course when and where you like Content: Videos, Discussion/Collaboration Activities, Webinars Assessment model: Quiz, Peer2Peer Assessment Certification: Badges and digital certificate Language: English PILOT COURSES
PILOT COURSE PARTICIPANTS 5200 participants 75% female Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain vs UK, Germany, France ~60% more than 16 years experience ~70% using tech in teaching for more than 6 years
More than 90% retention rate within modules Close to 50% course completion rate, 5327 badges awarded 99% gave the course a positive rating, 80% gave the course the highest rating 86% report having tried out a new teaching style (student-focused) 69% report having changed their classroom setup PILOT COURSE RESULTS
