INVITATION

List of participants

The purpose of the meeting The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize the participants with the platform Moodle, which is a priority for our project. Besides this platform, students and teachers learned how to use the platform Google + and Hot Potatoes.

Sunday 19th April

Monday 20th April We visited the city hall and met city officials – the mayor, deputy mayor etc. We were warmly welcomed and then the main points of our project were presented. After that all participants moved to the grammar school.

A tour of our school facilities with the possibility of peeping into teaching. Surprise

First, visiting of the school was prepared for participants and then in front of Czech students and teachers each participant group presented their schools and organisations.

The afternoon program was filled with theatrical performances of KVARTA students under the guidance of our English teacher Petr Kadlec. Aproximately an hour presentation was of course in English language and all participants enjoyed it.

After the amazing performance we had to start working. Our Spanish friends had prepared a course on Moodle platform for us. The several-hour course was perfectly mastered and all the participants appreciated how wonderful and sophisticated training events for our friends were introduced.

In the evening, our student project team prepared a programme for foreign students. Each of our five students was in charge of a group of 5 students so that each group had only one representative from each country. The programme for every group was different and was aimed at getting acquainted with our country, landscapes, traditions and the students themselves.

Later in the evening there was a cultural liner prepared in the form of traditional Moravian cimbalon music for our friends. A five-piece band called "Podluží" led by our eighteen-year-old secondary school student performed a memorable musical experience.

Tuesday 21st April After a hearty breakfast we continued to work. On the agenda there was the application of ICT in the administration of our IT teacher Zdenek Sovadina. And after a lunch we continued…

The students´ programme again

And what did it look like in our free time after hard work?

Wednesday 22nd April On this day, in addition to working parts, we also made a trip to the Lednice area. There we visited the neo-Gothic castle and the beautiful English and French parks. Moreover, we enjoyed an educational cruise to Minaret (the Arab mosque).

Thursday 23rd April Work and only work again. In this spirit, we spent the last day of our one-week project.

The last evening was devoted to joint activities and farewells. Of course, all the participants were given nice gifts and especially certificates.

Quantative and qualitative analysis of the questionnaires

After the meeting we received several thank you letters from Romania, Spain, Greece…
