Helping Public Libraries Prepare for and Respond to Hurricanes State Library & Archives of Florida Government office to improve local libraries throughout the state. Key Project Partners As part of a state of Florida initiative, the Information Use Management & Policy Institute (Information Institute) at Florida State University was awarded a grant to work with public librarians to assist the residents of the state of Florida in preparing for, and responding to, hurricanes.
