Algebra I or Algebra I HA; Geometry HA; Biology I HA The course title and grade will appear on the student’s high school transcript, so colleges can verify that the course was completed. The student will receive a credit for the course; however the grade will not factor into the student’s high school GPA. Students who earned a grade of C or C- are strongly encouraged to repeat the course in ninth grade. Students who earned a D+ or lower must repeat the course in ninth grade to remain eligible for a Core 40 with Technical or Academic Honors Diploma. The course counts towards the respective subject requirements for the Core 40 Diploma, the Core 40 with Technical Honors Diploma, and the Core 40 with Academic Honors Diploma. The course counts towards the 47 credits needed to graduate.
