Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematical Honors Society
What is Pi Mu Epsilon? It is the National Mathematics Honor Society. Founded on May 25, 1914 at Syracuse University. Currently has over 300 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States. The purpose of the Society is to promote scholarly activity in mathematics among the students in academic institutions.
Membership Be part of one of the following groups: – Undergraduate – Alumni – Graduate – Faculty/Staff
Membership Completed at least Calc I and Calc II Completed at least two additional math classes at or above Calculus – Math Majors and Minors will have these classes
Membership Have a Math GPA of at least 3.0 Have a Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 All individuals seeking to join Pi Mu will have their records reviewed by the chapter officers. – If you are not sure if you will meet the requirements for membership, please let the officers review your records because there may be something they can do for you to make it happen.

Membership What else is needed after meeting requirements – Membership Dues $25 Initiation Fee – Lifetime Membership – No Annual Dues – Includes Membership Certificate – Includes One Year Subscription to Pi Mu Epsilon Journal – Sign Chapter Roll – Take Pledge – Attend an initiation/induction ceremony
