1.Lesson Preparation Understand your language objectives Make sure you have your materials to address all learning styles (audio text, outline, graphic organizers, etc) 2.Build Background Knowledge MAKE CONNECTIONS! Relate old info. with new info. 3.Comprehensible Input Give exact instructions Modeling Scaffolding

4. Engagement Strategies Use Scaffolding 5. Interactions Between T and Ss Between Ss (cooperative learning groups/partners) 6. Practice and Application Hands on Activities Manipulatives Centers or Worksheets Make sure application is correct
