Presentation transcript:

Big Bold Red heading of the film. Red symbolising the stakes are high as the colour red reflects “Blood” and death. White background giving more importance to the coloured images and making them stand out. Actors within the film name, A list actors used to attract attention to poster. Ocean’s Twelve in Bold, Black font making it stand out, also the positioning at the bottom of the page not next to anything makes the film’s title visible than the big red Ocean’s Twelve title at the top. Website in red font standing out from the black font in order to be very visible to the audience to establish the films website. Slogan of the film connoting the fact that in this new film there will be 12 members instead of the old 11. Actors are in order of importance as the first person is Mr Ocean as seen in the previous films is the leader of this group, then it goes down the line in order of authority and importance within the heist group. All actors body language is connoting that they are going somewhere, especially Mr Ocean fixing his watch connoting he has to be somewhere at a certain time which is crucial within a heist film as timing is everything.

Comparison and differences In poster number 1 the producer of that poster is relying onto the actors to make it a success in advertising the film, as seen on front it starts of with George Clooney the Brad Pitt etc, it uses a more visual theme of our main characters within the film. In contrast with our 2nd poster it relies more on names of our A-list actors to attract the attention of audiences. In both of these posters the slogan still remains the same / unchanged which is “Twelve is the new eleven,” from this it’s an actual hint of what is to come within watching the film. The biggest contrasts of the two posters is that the fact the 1st poster is more imaged based, however 2nd poster we don’t get glimpses of the actors or any kind of scenery just they’re shoes as it’s a word based poster more than a picture based. Like I mentioned before this poster gains the attention of the audience throughout the use of the names of the celebrity actors.

Red background reflecting the theme of “bloody” as the colour red is symbolized with blood, and the fact we see characters feet connoting the fact they are running away from something, or as the audience allredy know it’s a heist film shows the fact they have robbed something and running away as it’s a life or death situation which links with the “bloody” red colour. All the characters names are on the film poster with big black bold font which attracts the audiences attention and the facts it’s in the middle of the poster symbolises the importance as it makes the success of this film all based on the A list actors such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt etc. Basic colour schemes are used within this poster which are, Black, White and Red. As not a lot of colours are used it makes the heading stand out attracting a lot of attention. Title of the film in big white bold font making it visible to see. The slogan under the title “Twelve is the new eleven” symbolizes that in this film there will be 1 extra crew member, and as not many actors are seen on this poster the audience will want to go watch this film in order to find out who the extra crew member is.
