I thought I was going to rant about gamification...

1. Ignore the Research 2. Completely Misunderstand & Misuse the Term Game Mechanic 3. Consult, Start Conferences, Tweet and ReTweet, Sell Sell Sell, Hype Hype Hype!

But then I realized... I just dont care very much.

I care about games.

Some see Games as a Means to an End...

I see Art & Entertainment as an End in and of itself.

Most games are not very interesting. This bothers me. This does not bother me.

Before you quote that on your blog... I love games, and enjoy playing them. For me, this is about potential unreached.

Adding human-scale interactions doesnt have to be difficult to implement, nor does it have to result in casual games...
