Why Care About Clinical Trials? Clinical Trials save lives by leading to:  Improved cancer care delivery and treatment management.  Prevention of specific cancers in healthy people who are at high risk for cancer.

► Fewer than 3% of adults with cancer participate in clinical trials.   Less than 5% of all eligible people with cancer o o Few over age 65 o o Ethnically diverse populations o o Even fewer in many large prevention trials ► Many people are:  Unaware of the option of clinical trial participation.  Misinformed about the clinical trial process.
