How Does Data Get Transferred From the Office?  Connected Farm module communicates with Connected Farm server on a regular basis— typically, every minute.  Each time it communicates, it uploads any new information created in the desktop software to your Connected Farm storage area.  This includes clients, farms, fields, inputs (supplies and equipment), and guidance paths that were selected using the Resource List button.

How Does Data Get Transferred In the Field?  Mobile devices (FmX, CFX-750 or handhelds) look for updated information to download from your Connected Farm storage area.  When communication is established, jobs that are completed in the field (using required hardware) are sent to the web server.  If a mobile device loses communication with the web server, completed jobs are sent once it re ‑ establishes communication. All data is safe and secure.

What Does The Connected Farm Server Do?  Connected Farm module checks Connected Farm storage area for any completed jobs, which it downloads to your computer hard- drive.  It notifies you of the number of jobs associated with each mobile device.  Connected Farm server backs up raw data in your storage area, even after it is downloaded to your desktop software.

How To Upload Data New tab appears for Connected Farm devices  Use Resource List button to specify data you want uploaded to Connected Farm server so it can be downloaded to mobile devices. 1.Click Resource List.

Processing the Inbox in Farm Works  As mobile devices complete jobs, they are uploaded to Connected Farm server.  Connected Farm module downloads jobs as they are completed and saves them in the Devices Inbox.  Click Process Inbox to read job data into the software

Processing the Inbox in Farm Works  If the jobs being imported include any new items such as Clients, Farms, Fields, or Inputs, the Linker dialog appears.  The Operation Resources list shows the name of the item as it was entered on the mobile device.  The Desktop resources list shows available resources as they were set up in the desktop software.

Processing the Inbox in Farm Works  To link these lists, select the appropriate item in each list and then click.  Before you click Create, do one of the following:  To use an existing Client or Farm, select it in the Desktop Resources list.  If item is new, select it from the Operation Resources list. In the Client/Farm and Field Properties dialogs that appear, enter information to create a new Client, Farm, and Field.

Processing the Inbox in Farm Works  If the job contains any new inputs (such as supplies or equipment), you can also link new items or create them, as required.  If jobs came from Mobile software, the Job Properties dialog appears with a summary of the job data. Make changes as required.  Once jobs are read into software, they appear in Jobs tab and are associated with the correct field(s).
