Package 2 Development of training programme  Aim: To develop a training programme on the UNCRPD designed for people with disabilities (PD) to act as trainers in the field of service provision.  Aspects of the training programme: - Training on the UNCRPD philosophy and content (knowledge about the rights) - Training for becoming an effective trainer (skills development)  Coordinating partner: ICSS

Package 2 Development of training programme - 1  Activities: - Preparation of a guideline for a survey among self-advocacy groups of PD about training content; - Conducting the survey among 10 self-advocacy groups (2 per country) - Reports on the survey results (5 reports) - Draft of training programme  Timeframe - 30 November January February March 2012

Package 2 Development of training programme - 2  Activities: - Conduct national expert meetings in each country - Preparation of 5 national reports - Finishing of the training programme - Translation of the training programme (in BG, G, H)  Timeframe - 30 April May July September 2012

Activity 1: Preparation of a guideline for a training needs survey (ICSS)  Aim: to investigate the training needs on the content and training methods of the UNCRPD through international survey  Activities: - Specify the number and the profile of responders in 5 partners’ countries (representatives of at least 2 self-advocacy groups of peoples with disabilities, motivated to participate in a survey) - Draft the survey guideline for identification of the training content and methods (introduction, survey process, questions for interview, analyses of the results) - Feedback from all partners about the draft survey - Writing and spreading the final guideline among all the partners Deadline: 30 November 2011

Activity 2: Conducting the training needs survey (5 partners)  Aim: to conduct common-structured survey on the UNCRPD training needs  Activities: - Communicate the aim of the project and the goal of the survey with 2 self- advocacy groups in BG, UK, A, G and H (10 in total) – sending project summary, UNCRPD easy to read; - Conduct meetings with 2 self-advocacy groups in each country; - Identify the most important rights as training themes (in each country); - Identify effective training methods on UNCRPD and important trainers’ skills (in each country); - Propose content (rights) and methods (skills) for the training in each country Draft schedule: November – draft guideline November – translation in En November – sending the guideline to all partners November – feedback from the partners November – finishing the guideline

Activity 3: Reports on the survey results (5 partners) ■ Aim: to make analyses of the survey results (similarities and specifics of the countries’ results) ■ Activities: - Design the structure of the reports (quantitative data about the respondents’ meetings, qualitative recommendations on rights,, training methods, trainees’ skills, other issues) - Preparation of national reports based on the survey analyses - Sending reports to Innovia - Analyses of the reports (innovia) Deadline: 29 February 2012

Activity 4: Draft of training programme (innovia)  Aim: to develop multinational training programme based on the survey reports  Activities: - Preparing draft 5-days training programme in English with: - training content (possible varieties in the rights) - training methods for acquiring knowledge and developing skills - training materials for the trainees - instructions for the trainer and co-trainer - feedback form - Sending the draft to partners for feedback ( , website) Deadline: 31 March 2012

Activity 5: Feedback through national expert meetings and EDF feedback (6 partners)  Aim: To get a more precise feedback on the specifics of the training programme in each country  Activities: - Communication with self-advocacy groups, service providers, educational institutions (in each 5 countries) – sending project summary, UNCRPD easy to read - Holding 1-day national expert meeting with representatives of self- advocacy groups, service providers for PD, educational institutions - Recording the meetings’ results (minutes, list of participants) - Feedback from European Disabilities Forum (EDF) on European perspective of self-advocacy (method) - EASPD Deadline: 30 April 2012

Activity 6: Reports on the survey results (all partners)  Aim: To summarise the results of the national experts meetings and the feedback from EDF for adapting the training programme for adapting the training programme  Activities: - Design the structure of the report (ICSS) - Writing 5 reports and 1 feedback; - Sending the reports to innovia ( , website) Deadline: 30 May 2012

Activity 7: Finishing of the training programme (innovia)  Aim: Elaboration of last version (s) of training programme with integrated feedback  Activities: - Analyses of all provided reports and feedback - Writing 4 different versions (if needed) of the training programme in English with: - training 5-days programme - training content on rights and training process - training methods for acquiring knowledge and developing skills - training materials for the trainees - instructions for a trainer and co-trainer - feedback form - Sending the training programme to all partners ( , website) Deadline: 31 July 2012

Activity 8: Translating of the training programme (3 partners)  Aim: To make the training programme(s) available in 3 other languages (BG, D, H)  Activities: - Translation of the training programme package (in each of the partners’ country) - Web access to the training programmes Deadline: 30 September 2012
