What is a SMART Response Interactive Response System? Wireless Remote Use with SMART Notebook Software and SMART Board Assessment Tool – Provides immediate feedback – Displays results in graphs – Results can be anonymous or not – True/False, Multiple Choice, Numerical Entry

Educational Uses for a SMART Response Interactive Response System: Engage students in lessons: – Active participation Every student has a remote and can answer the teacher’s questions versus one student at a time answering the teacher’s question Teacher can see who and how many has responded Click “?” if they have a question – Name pops up on the SMART Board for teacher to call on

Educational Uses for a SMART Response Interactive Response System: Assessment Tool: – Receive immediate feedback on whether students are understanding content being taught – Allows teacher to differentiate instruction on the spot – Responses are displayed in a graph and individual results can be automatically entered into the grade book – Survey students and conduct experiments
