What is It? The Career Center offers Arlington High School Students: –Career & Technical Classes –Hands-on Learning with Industry Professionals –Industry-Standard Technology –College Credit while in High School

Who goes to the Arlington Career Center? Most students take Career Center classes as two-period electives and take buses from and back to their home schools. Classes for grades 3 – 12 also are offered on Saturdays, early release Wednesdays and during the summer.

ACC Opportunities 1) RELEVANCE – Real-world experiences such as internships, mentoring and job shadowing. 2) RIGOR -- Academic and technical integration, including SOL and competency achievement. 3) STRETCH PROJECTS – Culminating hi-level community, client and senior projects. 4) COLLEGE NOW – College enrollment and credit while in high school, expediting a 2-year degree and connecting to 4-year colleges and universities. 5) RELATIONSHIP – Multiple opportunities in school and the community for leadership and service. Academy staff focus on remediation and integrative STEM approaches.
