Accidents/Incidents and Near-Misses on Babcock Sites When working on a Babcock company site – any accidents/incidents and near-misses must be reported to a Babcock representative The accident book and near miss forms are readily available This enables proper records to be maintained and after investigation - reviews and remedial action as appropriate Reducing the chance of harm to another person in the future

This will benefit suppliers by preventing loss of business and Babcock and its clients by ensuring safe working and supplies. Ensuring reputation - When incidents occur organisations need to show that they were working in a healthy manner and need to know that their supplies or contractors were not to blame. Therefore, high health and safety standards are important to maintain the reputation of all organisations in the supply chain. Babcock E & CS has accreditation for PAS 99 (2012) covering 9001, 14001 and 18001.

Supply Chain Assistance Shortly, Babcock will begin to use a new sustainability reporting software programme to improve the environmental reporting. Supply chain partners can help by: Providing leaner packaging that can always be re- used or recycled, reducing operational waste going to landfill Plan deliveries of goods out of peak traffic periods where possible. Assist with Babcock CO2 reporting by providing fuel use or mileage information (new contracts will require this). Using low emissions vehicles and alternative green vehicles This will allow for better targeting of initiatives
