EH&S Categories A good EH&S program addresses: Hazards - those things with the potential to cause harm from what we do or that we’re exposed to ‘Risk’, includes of the likelihood of the hazardous event taking place. If there’s no likelihood of this hazard being realized, there’s no risk. Risks can be prioritized by ranking both the nature of the potential harm and, the likelihood of the hazardous event occurring. 6

Each Safety and Health Program should be tailored to fit the company, to blend with its unique operations and culture, and to help employers maintain a system that continually addresses workplace hazards.
