The Dislocated Worker and Rock River Training Corp Next The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federal program that funds local programs (e.g. Dislocated Worker Program and Rock River Training Corp) to provide an array of job seeking services to eligible participants Both programs offer help with training and required book expenses. The only difference between the two are the eligibility requirements. General Eligibility Requirements for WIA programs 1)Must be authorized to work in the United States 2)If you are a male born after December 31, 1959 you MUST be Selective Service compliant. 3)Be 18 years of age or older at the time of application for DWP and Adult programs. WIA Services Training Whether you are interested in completing a GED taking basic computer classes pursuing a certificate or college degree WIA programs provide financial assistance to eligible participants.
