Financial & Housing Workshops Workshops Youth services & Case Management Learning Lab Funding for continued Education Services for Veterans Career Advising Unemployment Benefits Employment Career workshops and career coaching These free workshops empower, provide resources, and build self – confidence to anyone on their career path, no matter what phase they are in Job search and application process (exploration, resumes, interviewing, social media, networking) trainings and one-ones – current trends and techniques for any confidence and work experience level Facilitators: enthusiastic and engaged with knowledge, keeping up with professional development, presenting a curriculum as a living document. Financial & Housing Workshops Through an interactive, peer-to-peer learning environment, we empower people to be in control of their finances and housing situation, making choices that support their own personal goals, and family needs. We expand horizons for participants, to see beyond current challenges, showing people they have choices and that their future is in their hands. During these free workshops, people have space and time to think about what they need and want in a non-judgmental space so people can learn to spend money and manage finances in ways that work for them and their values. Internships and “On the Job Training” Offers individuals the opportunity to pursue a planned, time limited work place learning experience to develop/ increase skills in a career of their choice. The ultimate goal is to help individuals become marketable in the labor market to find secure and permanent employment. Youth services & case management Purpose: elevator pitch Learning Lab The flagship Learning Lab at Workforce Boulder County is a nationally recognized, one-of-a-kind educational program that coaches individuals in three areas: toward completing their high school equivalency diploma (GED), passing their community college entrance exams, and increasing their literacy and numeracy skills.  Our unique, solution-focused program tailors its curriculum to each individual and celebrates each for their accomplishments. We are able to offer both our learning lab program and the high school equivalency exam free of charge to eligible participants.   Self-Directed Learning Lab for Computer Literacy Supportive computer lab environment where participants can learn basic to advanced computer skills, Microsoft Office skills at their own pace. Using CustomGuide tutorial software and the assistance of a nearby support staff, participants in Boulder or Longmont engage in hands-on tutorials in Microsoft Office 2007, 2010; and Microsoft operating systems, Windows 7, 8, 10; and more. Provide scholarships/ funding for continued education* *short term training, retraining through certifications, vocational training Case management for adults accessing scholarships/ funding for continued education Case management enhances peoples’ skills and experience in order to facilitate higher entered employment, average wage and job retention in our community.  In order to be effective, all case management services are tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual through informed choice, funding, and career counseling.
