A. Glassware 1. Beakers- used as a container for transport, mixing, and light heating

2. Erlenmeyer Flask: used for mixing, pouring and storing liquids. 3. Florence Flask: used for strong heating 4. Volumetric Flask: used for exact measuring

5. B.O.D. Bottle: used for measuring biochemical oxygen demand 6. Graduated Cylinder: used for exact measurement. 7. Test tube: used for small reactions and light heating of small quantities.

8. Mortar and Pestle: for grinding powders 9. Watch glass: for evaporating small amounts of liquids. 10. Glass rod: for stirring and mixing

11. Crucible and cover: for very intense heating of dry materials

B. Heating supplies 1. Bunsen Burner: for strong heating of materials. 2. Ring Stand: for support of glassware during heating. 3. Iron ring: for support of beakers and flasks during heating
