Functional Teams Materials Information –Master Materials List & Details Approved Lists –Materials, Sources & Devices –Samplers, Testers, Labs Mix Design –Hot Mix, Portland Cement Concrete Sampling & Testing –Samples, Templates, S&T Requirements

ALDOT Implementation Approach Material Certification Material Discrepancy Report Contract Sampling & Testing Req. Sampling and Testing Req. Materials & Tests Approved Lists Material Detail

Phased Approach Phase I – Approved Lists –Materials, Sources and Devices Phase II – Sample Tracking (all samples) Phase III – Sampling and Testing Requirements- (select contract or projects)

Project Milestones Phase I Approved Lists Kick-off - Dec ’03 Phase I-Deployment - Apr ’04 Phase II-Sampling Tracking Kick-off - May ’04 Phase II-Full Deployment – Mar ’05 Phase III –Sampling & Testing Req. – May ’05 Phase III- Full Deployment – Nov ’05

Materials Workshops

Workshop Overview Purpose – Requirements gathering for the materials module. Goal – Use SiteManager materials to accurately track and record sampling and testing activities based on lab policies and procedures Organization – Teams that are task driven Schedule – Team meetings monthly/formal agenda with outlined tasks
