Worship: The Heart of Missions Isaiah 6: 1-8

1. Worship is the beginning point of missions. 2. Worship is at the center of all mission efforts. 3. Worship is the goal of all mission endeavors.

Psalm 96:1 Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

3. Proclaim to every people, tongue, and nation that God, in whom they live and move, is love; tell how he stooped to save his lost creation, and died on earth that we might live above. 4. Give of thy sons to bear the message glorious; give of thy wealth to speed them on their way; pour out thy soul for them in prayer victorious; O Zion, haste to bring the brighter day.

"Worship is communion with God in which believers, by grace, center their mind's attention and their heart's affection on the Lord, humby glorifying God in response to His greatness and His Word." Dr. Bruce Leafblad

“Worship is that process in which we make God first in our lives.” Bruce Leafblad “Worship means ‘putting the Lord first in your values, your affections, and your commitments.’ Values have to do with the objective truth; Affections deal with the emotions; Commitments have do do with priorities and convictions. We worship when we put the Lord first in all these.” Don Wyrtzen

6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Isaiah 66:1 The LORD said: “Heaven is my throne; “Heaven is my throne; the earth is my footstool. the earth is my footstool. What kind of house could you build for me? In what place will I rest? 2 I have made everything; that's how it all came to be. … ”

2 Above Him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!"

2 Above Him stood the seraphim.

2 Above Him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!"

Revelation 4:8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, …. never cease to say, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"

2 Above Him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!" 4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.

Revelation 7:9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

Psalm 67:1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, 2 that Your way may be known on earth, Your saving power among all nations. 3 Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!

“Worship is the believers response of all that he is – mind, emotion, will and body – to all that God is and says and does. This response has a mystical side in subjective experience, and it’s practical side in objective obedience to God’s revealed truth.” Warren Wiersbe
