How to Trial ILM Q. How do I trial ILM? A. You can trial ILM (up to 180 days) without purchasing ILM Server or User CALs. To do this, you must install and accept the evaluation EULA. The evaluation copy of ILM 2007 automatically time- bombs in 180 days. In order to prevent the time-bomb, a valid product key must be entered prior to the completion of the 180 th day. Q. Do I need to buy ILM User CAL’s to trial ILM? A. No. You can trial ILM for up to 180 days without purchasing User CALs. However, you must ensure that you are appropriately licensed for the prerequisite software, including Windows Server 2003 EE and SQL Server. Q. What do I do at the end of 180 days? A. Any time during the evaluation period to the end of 180 days the evaluation copy of ILM 2007 can be converted into a production server by purchasing a full license and applying it to the ILM server. At that time you must also purchase User CALs for each user for whom ILM issues and manages digital certificates. You will not be able to enter a product key after the 180 day trial period. Q.
