Overview: What is CASA: - It is a national, non-profit association that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment - Today there are more than 68,000 advocates serving in 1018 states and local program offices nationwide Mission & Goal: Educate the public on issues and activities relating to CASA Fairfax and Youth Advocacy Increase volunteerism; help recruit, screen and train potential volunteer advocates Increase contributions to CASA Fairfax and its partner organizations Keep people aware and involved in the CASA mission Maintain consistency and synergy with the national CASA program 8/21/20152UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND
