21 st Century Students Incorporating technology in classrooms causes students to be more focused. Teachers who have had their students use computers as a lesson plan saw better results from their students compared to the work done with pen and paper. The students were more interactive and had more intellectual responses. They used deeper thinking. As said by a teacher in Indianapolis: "The focus was really sharp. There's something about changing over to an electronic medium, something about that screen. It's psychological. It's a generational thing.”

Using websites and has been a great way for students to interact with their teachers and other students outside of the classroom. This allows students to connect with the teacher if they run into issues or have questions. Also, allows students that missed class to be caught up. Survey of college students to see how helpful class websites are for them: The pie-chart shows that students find class websites to be more helpful than not when connecting outside the classroom. Connecting Outside the Classroom

Projectors are used in every classroom for multiple educational reasons. In the past, they were used to show a slide made by the teacher for students to follow as they take down notes. Now, projectors can also show students PowerPoint slides that were created within the computer and not have to redo everything over and over again for a different group of students. Even though old projectors are still use, they no longer have to be placed right in front of the projector screen. They are now connected straight to screen so that the teacher can sit at his/her desk and teach rather then having to sit in the middle of the class. This also allows them to make any edits and/or additions to the slides. Projectors

Most schools formally mailed grades home to students permanent addresses in paper format. Many students would use this as a way to hide their grades from parental guardians by simply throwing out this paper. Website programs such as “Jupiter Grades” allow K-12 schools to input grades online. This format allows students, teachers, and parental guardians to access grades online. Simply Click on the link to see a demo of how Jupiter Grades functions: o.phphttp://jupitergrades.com/about/dem o.php Grading System
