The great depression and the dust bowl in 1930s By Ty Prowse

The great depression When the wall street stock market crashed in October 1929 the world economy was plunged into the great depression. By the winter of 1932 America was in the depths of the greatest economic depression in its history. Many jobs were lost and people were furious and people began to become homeless and were starving. As early as the 1926 there were signs that town was under threat that was seen in florida. 13 million people had lost their jobs industrial production had dropped by 45% between the 1929 and 1932.

The dust bowl The dust bowl was were the weather was so bad it cut down on crops and people said it was because of farming techniques and bad weather Peoples houses were covered up to the windows with sand and people moved to California to find jobs these people were called migrant workers and millions of people moved to California to find jobs. Some migrant workers lived in tents or shacks that they have built from scratch.
