ACROPOLIS MUSEUM  The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum where you can see findings from the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens.  The museum was built to house every object that the archaeologists found on the sacred rock of the Acropolis and at its foot.

The new building of the museum was founded in 2003 and opened to the public on June 21, 2009.

Plaka is known as the "Neighbourhood of the Gods" because it is near the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites The place is the only district of Athens where one can see the city as it was 100 years ago. In the area there are museums, taverns, restaurants, cafes, tourist shops and buildings of famous people of old Athens.
