GREEN PRODUCTS! By: Laurel Wilkinson

Eco-friendly Shopping Bags One environmental benefit that eco-friendly bags have is the ability to reduce the amount of littler and landfill waste. Another environmental benefit is a reduced amount of air pollution that is caused by the factories that manufacture paper or plastic bags.

Choosing eco-friendly cleaning products, and removing toxic ones, can go a long way. The toxins can pollute our lives and the environment. If everyone replaced their cleaning products with eco-friendly products there would be less toxins around in your home and the environment. Eco-friendly Cleaning Products

Solar Panels  Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Solar panels are very good for th environment because they give off no pollution.

Cashmere EnviroCare  Cashmere’s EnviroCare is certified by EcoLogo, North America’s most widely recognized and respected third party environmental standards authority. Made with 100% recycled fibre.

Hybrids combine clean energy of the electrical motor with the power of the gas-powered engine which results into lower emissions and better mileage. Hybrid Cars

Wind is free and with modern technology it can be captured efficiently. The energy a wind turbine produces does not cause green house gases or other pollutions. Wing Turbines

Steel water bottles are much better to use rather than any plastic bottle. Steel bottles keep liquids healthy and safe to drink. Plastic bottles are made from a variety of chemicals that can seep into liquids when they stay for longer periods of time. The steel used in steel water bottles do not cause any chemicals to seep into the liquids no matter how long they sit. Eco-friendly Water Bottles

Eco-friendly Washing Machine This machine uses much less energy, water and detergent. Devices with Energy Star logo generally use 20% - 30% less energy than required by federal standard.

Eco-friendly paint isn’t only a good environmental choice and important for the environment. It can have a big impact on your health as well. Eco-friendly paint is generally made with water instead of chemicals. Overall, eco-friendly paint has no chemicals and is better for your health. Eco-friendly Paint

Energy efficient light bulbs save energy (using only about 23% – 35% electricity). Energy efficient light bulbs also last longer (about ten times longer), and do not need to be replaced as often, generate less heat, and in the long run save money Energy Efficient Light bulbs

Eco-friendly furnishings Eco-friendly furnishings are made of exotic natural fibres and organic materials (abaca, rattan, coconut shell, coconut twigs, pen shell, stone, etc.) Taken from sustainable plants, trees and other natural materials.

Solar Lights Solar lighting does not contribute to global warming in any way. Also, the sun provides solar radiation without any charge, resulting in no energy cost.

Rechargeable batteries have up to 28 times less impact on the environment than alkaline batteries. Most of the environmental impact comes from the manufacture and transport of the batteries. Rechargeable batteries also consume up to 23 times less non-renewable natural resources (fossil and mineral) than disposable batteries. Rechargeable batteries

Recycled paper  Recycled paper requires around 2 times less energy and 3 times less water. Recycling lengthens the lifespan of the paper, since fibres can be recycled 4 to 5 times. Also, Recycling helps preserve forests, reducing demand for wood.
