Objectives To promote integrated development of “children in need and distress” by increasing their opportunities for quality education. To offer residential care to most needy children and supportive services at community level to ensure over-all growth of target children. To collaborate and network with like-minded organizations, and Corporate in order to address broader issues that affect children in distress and stone quarry communities. Who we are … We the Sacred Heart Brothers involvement with the marginalised people and also introduce you the society of Plant Hope a centre for children in distress. For over 52 years, the Sacred Heart Brothers have been serving the poor in Bangalore with dedication, guided by the spirit and charisma of their founders. The Brothers have adopted various strategies to address emerging socio-economic challenges faced by the poor. Organization – Activities Planet Hope residential care Ashrayadeep Day care center Ashrayadeep Pre-primary Ashrayadeep Dispensary A residential home for the poor stone quarry community children. The 114 Children are availing the free residential care and educational support. Age Group: 6 to 16 Canter for the poor stone quarry kids and migrant kids. To get non formal education to coach them for regular main stream education. 65 kinds are admitted in the day care center. Age Group 2-6 A English medium school established to center the educational need for the stone quarry children and the poor of the poorest backward community children Health care unit established for the health services to the poor stone quarry communities and their deprived children/ people. We work 10 to 13 stone quarry dwellers are getting free health care facilities through the Ashrayadeep medical team service through mobile clinic and medical camps. SOURCE: Society of Planet Hope

Planet Hope residential care The home is a greater relief for the parents who are migrating from one place to another to earn for their livelihood and unable to continue their children’s education. Children are given educational support, psycho social care, personality development training and extracurricular supports too. Ashrayadeep Day care center There are so many school drop outs who are not able to attend the school because of the migration of the parents for the work. It is a dream land for such children equipped with international standard study and play materials and well qualified and trained teachers to take care of emotional, social and physical care. Nurture the children with nutritious meal, Motivation to Education Hygiene and Health care Avoid child abuse and exploitation when parents are at work, Delink children from the cycle of child labour Create a medium for children of the quarries to enter main stream education SOURCE: Society of Planet Hope

Ashrayadeep Dispensary Ashrayadeep is a registered dispensary working exclusively for the stone quarry dwellers. The medication and consultation is free for the quarry dwellers and we are providing medical service for the stone quarry workers at their door steps through a mobile clinic program and health camps. Mobile clinic Conducting medical camps and family planning Antenatal and post natal check- ups and referral services and general treatment Special emphasis is laid for maintaining the environmental hygiene Prevention of contaminated diseases and promoting nutrition and general health of the masses.
