UK’s Third National Communication Published in October 2001 Based on UK Climate Change Programme

UK Climate Change Programme Published in November 2000 Sets out how the UK will achieve its target under the Kyoto Protocol and move towards its 2010 domestic goal on CO 2 emissions Currently being reviewed

Context The UK’s target under the Kyoto Protocol/EU “bubble” is to: reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by 12.5% below 1990 levels by In addition, the UK Government has set a national target to: reduce emissions of CO 2 by 20% below 1990 levels by 2010
