Summary Banff national park is one of the first national parks ever created in Canada of the many. Banff has clear lakes high mountains and vast forests. People can stay here in lodges and watch the animals outside the windows. Banff national park is large and gets bad winters and warm/cold summers. Banff National park was created in 1885 when people were creating rail road they hit a hot spring and it was declared in 1885 that this was one of the first national parks in Canada.

History In Banff National Park it was founded in 1883 but declared a national park in people were laying down rail road tracks but hit a hot spring in years later in 1885 it was declared the first national park in Canada. People were excited about this they started building hotels across the railroad and it was named the fastest way to get to the far east from Europe. Eventually so many people kept coming they had to build more

Plant life and Animals There are many different species of plants in Banff national park They include, The white bark pine, Common Harebell, Wild Gaillardia, Yellow ladies slipper, butterwort, and Many more! With the smell and colors of these plant life in Banff National Park Banff is improved and made even more famous. Same with the animals too there are many. There ore over 50 different species of mammals in Banff national park there are, Shrews, bats, least chipmunk, red squirrel, beaver, moose, coyote, And many many more.

Geology In Banff National Park there are many geological land forms in Banff. People believe that the most important geological thing in Banff is the hot spring founded when the park was first founded. There are mountains and big lakes and rivers, but still the hot springs are one of the best things at Banff National Park. Scientists believe that the Rocky Mountains had something to do with the springs being inside the mountain the railroad makers found.

Activities The activities in Banff National Park include, Fishing backpacking biking birdwatching boating camping canoeing climbing skiing driving geocaching hiking horseback riding hot springs ice diving ice skating interpretive programs photos scuba diving snowboarding snow shoeing wildlife viewing waterfall ice climbing and more.

Places To Stay You can stay at many locations at Banff. Some of them are, Paradise Lodge, Bungalows, Fairmont Banff Springs, Rim rock Resort Hotel, Post hotel & spa. And there are even more! They usually have some sort of hot spring related pool in the basement of on ground level.

Climate The Highest temperature that Banff can receive is 22 degrees Celsius. In winter visitors have to be very careful the temperature could get to -30 degrees and with winter comes only 8 hours of daylight in Banff. In Banff the wind chills can bring the temperature down even more.
