2 Interesting Facts Yosemite was the first wilderness park in the United States! At Yosemite there’s about 4 million people watching over its special plants, animals, its historic and its archeologist. Yosemite is know for there waterfalls, cliffs, and odd rock formation. Yosemite has a WONDERFUL scenery. The weather at the park is great!!!! Its always sunny!!

3 Plants & Animals of Yosemite Some animals of Yosemite are birds (like the American robin), porcupines, badgers, black bears, fox, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, mountain lions. There are 78 species of mammals, 247 species of birds 17 of amphibians, 22 of reptiles and 11 of fish. Yosemite’s wilderness has approximately 1,460 species of plants!! As you can see you will never get bored and never want to leave!!!!

4 Activities you can do while your at Yosemite Some activities that you could do while your are at Yosemite are Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Wheel chair trails / camps, Horse trials, and Rock Climbing. Some water sports are the beaches like beach volleyball and rafting.

6 Park History Yosemite was built on June 30 th 1906!! Visitation exceeded 1 million in the year of 1954 for the first time!!!! In 1976 more then 2 million people visited Yosemite.

7 Yosemite’s BIRTHDAY!! Yosemite was born on June 30th 1906. So that means Yosemite is turning 101 years old!!

8 Climate IIn the summer at Yosemite, it is mostly warm and dry. YYosemite is ALWAYS open and you can leave or come at any time!!
