Main Ideas: Georgia’s Constitution Notes: Georgia was one of the original 13 colonies, became the 4 th state after the American Revolution. Georgia adopted its 1 st constitution in in 1983, Georgians approved the state’s 10 th constitution. Even though there have been several changes in the text of the various versions, the purpose of all of them have been the same.
