The name bald eagle comes from an old English word. Baled. White. These graceful bird have been the united states national symbol since bald eagles were on the brink of extinction because of the hunting and pollution. But laws almost 40 years ago helped protect them and they made an amazing female bald eagle s are a bit bigger then the males!
