2 Learning Objectives By the end of this session you will be able to: Explain the Echo 360 BU license agreement & various tools Define blended learning Describe Echo 360 options for recording Experiment with the product by applying basic steps to create a personal capture Discuss potential pedagogical uses for personal capture

3 What is Blended Learning? Blended Learning: “The mixing of different learning environments. It combines traditional face-to face classroom methods with more modern computer-mediated activities.” - Wikipedia Blended Learning Methodology: includes online/mobile and classroom learning for either initial view or review of content Inverted classroom/classroom flipping: initial knowledge acquisition on a topic or theory can happen per individual in a self-paced method outside of class. This frees up class time for interactive discussions and activities that can focus on a deeper understanding and application of the material. Student presentations: capture/view outside of the classroom, and more time for discussion/interaction in class

11 Echo 360 Media Ingest Echo 360 supports the ingest of content created with third party cameras and software products. Instructors and staff can easily incorporate content captured with these tools into the Echo 360 environment. The content is imported, processed and presented in the same Echo 360 player in which students are accustomed.
