WHY THE JEW???? ANTI-JEWISH FEELING DURING THE PAST 2000 YEARS

THE ROOTS OF NAZI ANTI-SEMITISM “THE JEWS HAVE DESERVED THE CATASTROPHE THAT HAS NOW OVERTAKEN THEM. THEIR DESTRUCTION WILL GO HAND IN HAND WITH THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ENEMIES.” JOESEPH GOEBBELS 1942 “I AM TALKING ABOUT THE EVACUATION OF THE JEWS, THE EXTERMINATION OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE. IT IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT IS EASILY SAID.” “THE JEWISH PEOPLE IS BEING EXTERMINATED, EVERY PARTY MEMBER WILL TELL YOU, PERFECTLY CLEAR, IT’S PART OF OUR PLANS, WE’RE ELIMUNATING THE JEWS, EXTERMINATING THEM, A SMALL MATTER.” HEINRICH HIMMLER SS OCT. 1943

DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANTI-SEMITISM

RELIGIOUS ANTI-SEMITISM: THROUGH THE MIDDLE AGES, THE PERSECUTION OF THE JEWS WAS BASED ON RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES (RITUALS, BELIEF IN JESUS AS THE MESSIAH, ETC.) IF JEWS WOULD CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY, THEY WOULD BE ACCEPTED. IF THEY DID NOT CONVERT THEY WERE SEGREGATED, EXPELLED OF KILLED. CAUSES OF CHRISTIAN NEGATIVE VIEW OF JEWS 1. JEWS DO NOT SEE JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD 2. EARLY CHRISTIANS BELIEVED JEWS KILLED CHRIST 3. SATURDAY SABBATH 4. KOSHER DIET 5. WEARING OF LONG BEARDS 6. REFUSAL TO CONVERT 7. ALIENATION CREATION OF THE GHETTO AND BADGE 8. USURY “INTREST AND BANKING 9. WANDERING 10. THE CRUSADES 11. EXPULSIONS 12 MATZO--PASSOVER AND CHRISTIAN CHILDREN

SECULAR ANTI-SEMITISM: BEGINNING AROUND THE 18TH CENTURY, AS EUROPE BECAME LESS RELIGIOUS, JEWS SUFFERED SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DISCRIMINATION. THEY WERE FORCED TO LIVE IN RESTRICTED AREAS, DENIED CITIZENSHIP, EXCLUDED FROM VARIOUS OCCUPATIONS ETC. EVEN IF THEY CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY, CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES WOULD NOT ACCEPT THEM. TOLERANCE ARRIVES FOR THE JEW IN ENGLAND, FRANCE AND HOLLAND. BUT…. IN ITALY, EASTERN EUROPE AND GERMANY THEY REMAIN ALIENATED AND PERSECUTED. THE 19TH CENTURY BRINGS POPULAR RULE AND GREATER JEWISH ACCEPTANCE BY EUROPEANS AND CHRISTIANS.

RACIAL ANTI-SEMITISM BY THE LATE 19TH CENTURY, JEWS WERE SEEN AS AN INFERIOR AND DANGEROUS “RACE.” RACISTS ARGUED THAT, LIKE BLUE EYES, HISTORICALLY DETERMINED CULTURAL TRAITS SUCH AS BUSINESS SKILLS WERE PASSED ON THROUGH THE GENES. THE LOGIC OF THIS THINKING LEADS TO EXTERMINATION. JEWS WERE INFERIOR AS A RACE. 1. FACIAL FEATURES 2. CULTURE 3. BODY TYPE 4. BEHAVIOR 5. DIET 6. WANDERERS JEWS WERE CONSPIRING TO OVERTAKE THE WORLD!!! IF ALLOWED TO LIVE THEY WOULD TAINT ALL THE GOOD RACES WITH THEIR BLOOD!

THE NEGATIVE STEREOTYPE OF THE JEW 1. NOT A PART OF THE REGULAR COMMUNITY, JEWS WERE STRANGE OUTSIDERS, WANDERERS, WITHOUT ALLEGIANCE TO ANY LAND. THEY COULDN’T BE TRUSTED. 2. JEWS WERE DEVILS OR DEVIL’S AGENTS WHO HAD REJECTED CHRISTIANITY AND CRUCIFIED CHRIST. GOD HAD THEREFORE CONDEMENED TO WANDER HOMELSS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND TO SUFFER. THEY DESERVED ALL THE PUNISHMENT COMING TO THEM. 3. EVIL JEWS WERE OUT TO TAKE OVER THE CHRISTIAN WORLD. THAT WAS WHY THEY SPREAD OUT AND DEVELOPED “CONNECTIONS” EVERYWHERE. THEY WERE WELL-POISONERS, CHILD KILLERS, RELIGIOUS ENEMIES. 4. ALL JEWS CARED ABOUT WAS MONEY. THEY CHEATED AND GRABBED ALL THEY COULD GET. THEY DID NOT WORK FOR A LIVING.

WHY THE JEWS? BLAMED FOR CHRIST’S DEATHTHEIR STRICT DIETARY DISCIPLINE JEWISH COMMUNITIES WERE SPREAD ACROSS EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST. THE TORAH KEPT THEM UNIFIED. THE SAME LANGUAGE, DRESS CODES AND CULTURE. ( CIRCUMCISION, READ FROM RIGHT TO LEFT, REFUSED TO PORK, GREW LONG BEARDS) BLAMED FOR THE BLACK PLAGUE ALWAYS A MINORITY GROUP. THE GHETTO SYSTEM (1400) MONEY LENDING THE WONDERING JEW JEWS BECAME MERCHANTS DENIED THE RIGHT TO BE TRADES MEN. THE PASSOVER MYTH ’S THEY LOOKED DIFFERENT, SPOKE HEBREW AND WERE EASY TARGETS PEOPLE FEARED STRANGERS. THEY BECAME EASY SCAPEGOATS IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. THE PROTOCALS OF ZION. = RELIGIOUS SECULAR SOCIAL PERSECUTION
