Diseases in communities
Economic problems in societies
People blamed Jews for their problems
Hate of Jews was called anti-Semitism
Christian mobs attacked and killed 1,000’s of Jews
Governments had Jews wear special badges/clothing
Jews lived in separate communities called ghettos
Jews lost the right to own land
Practice/have certain trade/work
Many Jews became peddlers and money lenders because these jobs were hated by Christians
