Year 1 Information Morning Welcome parents and thank you for attending today’s meeting.

Year 1 We aim to: Promote independence throughout the first years of primary school Promote positive attitudes towards school and learning Promote positive behaviour Promote a wide range of opportunities for pupils to develop both socially and academically

Positive Behaviour Policy to develop a sense of self-discipline and an acceptance of responsibility for their actions to create the conditions for effective learning to foster mutual respect between all members to develop a proper concern for the environment to provide a healthy and safe environment for the school community. Happy/Sad book in Year 1.

HOMEWORK Reading in the first term will be story books Literacy / Numeracy / World Around Us Homework book goes home Monday and returned on Thursday

School Day Doors 8:50 Classes 9:00am Late Registration after 9:15am HOME TIMES Mon - 2:00pm All children should be dropped off and picked up using the Parent’s car park

BREAK TIME Break 10:30am Healthy eating policy School milk available – paid for at beginning of term Snack – 1 piece of fruit / vegetable milk / water Please ensure your child’s snack box and bottle are labelled Outside play each day No running / hitting policy

DINNER MONEY £2.30 per day or £11.50 per week CORRECT CHANGE greatly appreciated Place in sealed envelope labelled with child’s name and choice of days if applicable. Envelopes are available at the office.

UNIFORMS Please ensure that your child is wearing his/her correct uniform Black shoes and trainers (P.E. days only) Maroon track bottoms only Clearly label all items of clothing
