Señora Crognale 14th year teaching Spanish Grew up Speaking Spanish. Mom was from Cuba Mom was a Spanish teacher too! My Cuban grandparents are/were a very BIG part of my life Traveled to Spain, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico.
Course Objectives To foster a love for Spanish culture and language Prepare students for Spanish II, either regular or honors Finish 3 units (each chapter has 3 chapters so in reality, 9+1 chapters) Have fun!!!!
Grading 25% Homework (not too much in the beginning, but should expect something every weeknight (no weekends)..\Spanish stamp and grade sheet.doc..\Spanish stamp and grade sheet.doc 25% tests/projects (usually 1 per mp) 35% quizzes (given each Friday) 20% class participation & preparation Sign up for the Spanish word of the day. I accept Monday- Thursday’s words for extra credit.
El texto Has online resources such as quizzes & flashcards. Take home tutor can be loaded onto home computers and has many other resources such as the videos we watch in class. I took 2 years of Spanish in high school and I can’t remember a thing…how can I help my child! Practice at home daily (review pages at end of each chapter) Make flashcards or go to Be a partner in quizzing of dittos/flashcards Checking that homework is done Install the CD on home computer and making sure child is really using it. me anytime and make sure your child sees me after an absence. What can you expect from me? I will prepare materials and activities for class to generate enthusiasm for learning. Develop a relationship with your child.
