Teaching for Personal and Social Responsibility TPSR

TPSR Content of physical education remains the same Personal and Social responsibility emphasized Responsibility and physical activity are not mutually exclusive

Teachers believe that: Responsibility can be taught Content and learning responsibility should not be separated Providing students with opportunities to feel empowered is important

Learning should be: Student-centered and provide opportunities for students to make real decisions Individualized and occur when succeeding and failing

Levels of Responsibility Used to determine student progress Teacher focuses on encouraging each student to work at a level one up from before Levels are hierarchical
