Emotional Intelligence: Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Competencies

Human relations skills are important at all levels of activity. 1. At the lowest level, operations, technical skills and hr skills are nearly equal with conceptual skills the least important. 2. At the middle level, middle management, hr skills are the most critical with more emphasis on both technical and conceptual skills. 3. At the highest level, top management, conceptual skills and hr skills are both equally important with technical skills the least important.

Emotional Intelligence can increase just as ones knowledge base can increase. It helps us accurately perceive, appraise, and express emotions. It helps us access or generate feelings on demand when they can facilitate understanding or yourself or another person. It helps us understand emotions and the knowledge that derives from those emotions. It helps us regulate emotions to promote emotional and intellectual growth.

Interpersonal Competencies Relating well to others through good communication skills What skills do you have? Could better communication training and experiences help? Emotional mentoring (helping others to manage their own emotions, communicate effectively, and solve problems, and ultimately to the best of their abilities) Who mentored you?
