Table of Contents 1.0 Introduction 2.0 Discussion 2.1 Required tool 2.2 Supplied Parts 2.3 Instructions 3.0 Conclusion 4.0 Glossary

1.0 Introduction Today, the advancement of modern technology has impacted us in many areas of our daily lives. One powerful testimony is the dominant presence of flat screen T.Vs in almost every household. After decades of watching TV on a curved screen using cathode ray tube technology, consumers are finding these television sets being phased out by flat screen models. Since their introduction in the late 1990s, flat screen T.Vs have quickly dominated the market due to their superior picture and compact size. The technology used to produce these sets have quickly evolved to allow for ever-increasing screen sizes and a better viewing experience. Flat screen T.Vs blend well with any decorating motif and mounting it on a wall makes it appealing and pleasant to watch. This instructional manual will guide you through the steps below to help eliminate the challenge of mounting your new flat screen t.v on a wall for superior presentation and performance.

2.0 Discussion (A)electrical tape (B)measuring tape (C)a stud finder (D)a utility knife (E)a drywall saw (F)String (G)a fish tape (H) Phillips Screw Driver (I) 3/16” Drill Bit (J)½” Masonry bit (for brick or concrete installations) (K)Socket Set (H)(I)(J)(K) 2.1 Required tool

2.0 Discussion Before you get started, assemble all the required tools including your flat screen t.v. If installing it in apartment, I would recommend that you seek proper permission from your building management. Also, prior to mounting your flat screen t.v. on any wall, check for any vital components or electrical wires inside that wall. Verify that you are in compliance with all local building and fire code. 2.1 Required tool Electrical can damage equipment. Electrocution can kill.

2.0 Discussion cont. A. (1) Wall Plate Assembly B. (1) Allen Key C. (6) Lag Bolt D. (6) Lag Bolt Washer E. (6) Concrete Anchor F. (2) Safety Bolt G. (8) Flange Nut H. (8) Nylon Washer I. (1)Left Monitor Bracket J. (1) Right Monitor Bracket K. (4) Monitor Bracket Extensions A. C.B. D.E. F.G. I.J. K. 2.2 Supplied Parts

2.0 Discussion cont. 1. Remove the base that comes with the TV if it is attached. Do not put the base on if it is not already attached, when you open the box. 2. Look for the four holes on the back of the TV. Those are where you will place the bracket. The left and Right monitor brackets will attach to your TV. 3. Lay the T.V. on its face (glass down) on the carpet or a soft flat item. 2.3 Instructions

2.0 Discussion cont. 4. Put the mounting bracket on the back of the T.V. and align it so that it is in the middle of the back. 5. Measure so it's even on the top and bottom. If you do not put it in the middle, you will see the bracket on the top or bottom and it will not hang correctly on the wall. 6. Lay the bracket on the back of the TV and find the Safety bolts to fit in the four holes on the back. 7. Place the bolts through the bracket and into the back of the T.V. 8. Use a screw driver to tighten these bolts down so that the bracket does not move. Use the nylon washers and flange nut to get a tight fit. 9. Find the studs in your wall. The best way to do this with a stud finder, or you can measure sixteen inches from the corner of the closest wall to find a stud, then keep doing this to find the location of the two or three studs you will need to mount your bracket to. Mark the center of the stud on the wall. Standard studs are actually 1.5 inches wide (after drying and dressing the rough-cut 2" x 4" board). 10. Place the larger part of your bracket on the wall lined up with the studs that you just found. Instructions cont.

2.0 Discussion cont. CAUTION: You may need another person to help you lift the television. Personal injury or product damage may occur. 11. Hold the bracket on the wall and screw the Lag bolts into the studs. You may use a drill or just a socket and wrench. It is recommended that you drill pilot holes before putting the mounting bolts in to avoid possibly cracking the studs. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN LAG BOLTS, MAY CAUSE THE BOARDS TO SPLIT Instructions cont.

2.0 Discussion cont. 12. Pick up you TV and hang it on the bracket. Tighten the flange nuts that are attached to the bracket so that the TV will be tightened to the bracket. 13. Make sure that it is sturdy and can hold the weight of the TV before you fully let go. NOTE: If you are attaching this wall mount to a concrete or brick wall you will need to use the Masonry bit to cut through and the anchor to hold it. Instructions cont.
