Incredibox Ashley Hagadon

What is Incredibox?  An online, interactive game about beatboxing   The user can choose from a variety of sounds to put together their own beatbox creation  Simple, student friendly interface encourages creativity, composition, and exploration of sound  Appropriate for 6th-12th grade

Standards  Technology o 6-8.CC.1. use digital resources (e.g., discussion groups, blogs, podcasts, videoconferences, Moodle, Blackboard) to collaborate with peers, experts, and other audiences  Music o ART.M.II.6.6 Use a variety of traditional and nontraditional sound sources when composing, arranging, and improvising.

Incredibox In Your Classroom  To study the concept of musical form, the student could:  Compose 2 30 second ‘pieces’ using Incredibox  They must each incorporate one musical form (ex. ABA, ABC, AB)  Students could then:  Share to a class Facebook page  Tweet their links on Twitter  Or present in the form of a podcast/radio station
